NEFT Money Transfer is an online payment option that is available all over India, monitored by the Reserve Bank of India. Currently, you can access NEFT Payments in almost all the banks across India. You have the option of making transfers to Individual accounts or to any merchant if the respective banks participate in the NEFT Scheme.
How does NEFT Money Transfer work?
NEFT Transfers can be made using your online banking account or your bank’s mobile application or even offline from the nearest branch of your bank.
NEFT Money Transfer Online
- Log into your net banking account or your mobile application using a username and password.
- Under Funds Transfer or the respective menu on your bank’s official website, choose NEFT.
- Then click on Add/ Manage Beneficiary.
- Provide beneficiary details including name of beneficiary, account number of the beneficiary and IFSC code of the beneficiary bank.
- Once the beneficiary is registered, enter the amount that you wish to transfer and click on submit.
- When the transaction is complete, you will receive a notification via SMS.
NEFT Money Transfer offline
Visit the nearest branch of the bank that you hold an account with. Fill up the NEFT Form with necessary details. These details are used by officials at the bank to make NEFT Transfers online.
NEFT Charges
The standard charges applicable on NEFT Money Transfer are as follows:

NEFT Timings and Holidays
The NEFT Timings for banks may vary. However, the standard timings are as follows:
- Monday to Saturday: 8 am to 7 pm
NEFT transactions are not settled on bank holidays, 2nd and 4th Saturday and Sunday. Any transactions made on these days will be credited from the remitter account and debited to the beneficiary on the next working day.
