On 24th June, India’s third largest private sector bank launched EMV chip-based debit card Secure+ with enhanced security features to make cashless transactions even more secure.
Secure+ comes at an annual cost of Rs 300 and offers such protective features as:
- Emergency assistance in case of loss of ticket and wallet; also covers hotel and flight expenses in such a scenario
- Superior fraud protection (subject to a maximum limit of Rs 75,000) which protects and insures customers from pin-authenticated fraud transactions, phishing or any other fraudulent activities [Read: Life hack: Dealing with Credit Card Frauds]
- The card also offers an enhanced personal accident insurance limit of Rs 5 Lakhs.
The new Secure+ card also facilitates blocking all the cards, irrespective of the issuing bank, with a single phone call saving critical time in case of card loss.
In addition to the ‘Secure+’ card, Axis Bank has also launched ‘Total Control’ feature that allows users to self-manage and customize the features of their cards using Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, ATM and Phone Banking IVR as per their usage.This platform enables customers to revise limits, opt between domestic and international usage, switch the card on or off, and even replace the card.
