The State Bank of India (SBI) relaunched the facility of Aadhaar-based savings account opening digitally on Friday. This facility is available for those customers who want to open their online account through ‘YONO’- lender’s integrated and lifestyle platform. In order to provide the customers with paperless, hassle-free, and digital banking experience, State Bank of India will give basic personalized RuPay ATM-cum-debit cards to the ‘insta-savings bank account holders’.
Moreover, to open this account, customers need to download the ‘YONO’ app, provide details such as Aadhaar number and PAN number followed by OTP which will be sent on the registered mobile number and other necessary details. Customers can also opt for the Nomination Facility, SMS Alerts, and SBI Missed Call Service.
Once the customer has submitted all the relevant details, his/her account will be activated within no time to make transactions. Account-holders can visit the nearest SBI bank branch to upgrade their accounts to ‘Know your Customer’ account.
