The Government of India provides subsidies under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes for all government welfare schemes in bank accounts of the beneficiaries. In order to avail these subsidies, the beneficiary is required to link his Aadhaar with the welfare scheme to receive funds in the bank account.
A beneficiary can link his bank account with Aadhaar online, through mobile banking, SMS, phone banking, ATM or by visiting the bank. If no bank account is linked with Aadhaar, there will be issues while transferring the subsidy under DBT in the beneficiary’s account. You can check Aadhaar-bank link status or bank-Aadhaar seeding status by visiting UIDAI’s website, using your mobile phone and through the mAadhaar app.

Your Aadhaar card will show the bank account that is registered for DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). For every other account status, you will have to either visit the bank or check the details in the mobile banking app.

You need to first unlock your Aadhaar card via the mAadhaar app or the UIDAI website. Once the Aadhaar is unlocked, you can get it verified again against your State Bank of India account.

Please I want to change linked bank account from one to another how can I change
Ideally you should link all your bank accounts with Aadhaar to avail facilities such as UPI. Though linking Aadhaar with bank accounts is not mandatory. However, if you want to change your bank account linked with Aadhaar, that is, make it your default account in order to avail government subsidies, etc., you need to submit a letter requesting the same at your bank’s home branch.
