Aadhaar has been in the news for a number of reasons in the past couple of years. The government has been pushing for linking various schemes with Aadhaar whereas a number of parties claim that without proper amendments in the current law, Aadhaar can easily be used by the government for surveillance and it can impact the right to privacy of Aadhaar holders.
