The government has made it compulsory for telecom operators to provide an option to link mobile connection with Aadhar using OTP-based verification. However, this facility can be availed only by those users who have already registered their mobile number with Aadhaar. If you have multiple mobile numbers and your concerned mobile number is not linked with Aadhaar, you will have to visit the idea store to get it verified. The process of linking your Idea mobile number with Aadhaar through OTP is mentioned below:
Step 1 : Call the toll-free IVR number 14546
Step 2 : Choose whether you are an Indian citizen or an NRI
Step 3 : Press 1 to give your consent for the re-verification of your mobile number using Aadhaar
Step 4 : Enter your Aadhaar card number and confirm it by pressing 1
Step 5 : An OTP is sent to your registered mobile number
Step 6 : Give consent to idea mobile to access your name, photo and DOB from UIDAI’s database
Step 7 : IVR reads out the last 4 digits of your idea mobile number
Step 8 : If correct, enter the OTP received on your phone
Step 9 : Press 1 to complete the reverification process

In order to link your Aadhaar with your idea mobile connection, you need to follow these simple steps:
Step 1 : Visit your nearest idea centre.
Step 2 : Provide your idea mobile number and Aadhaar number.
Step 3 : Idea store executive sends a 4-digit verification code on your mobile number.
Step 4 : Provide this code to the executive.
Step 5 : Now provide your biometric/fingerprint.
Step 6 : You will receive a confirmation SMS within 24 hours.
Step 7 : Reply with ‘Y’ to complete the reverification process.
Mobile operators are also directed to provide the facility of linking Aadhar with idea mobile number through IVR. Here’s how to do it:
Step 1 : Call idea’s toll free number at “12345″.
Step 2 : Follow IVR instructions and select Aadhaar verification option
Step 3 : Enter your Aadhaar number twice
Step 4 : Now confirm your response
Step 5 : Your Aadhaar will be linked with your idea mobile number
Step 6 : A confirmation message will be sent to your idea mobile number
