The government of India has provided the facility for all its citizens to link their Aadhaar cards with their caste certificates. The main motive of linking the Aadhaar card to the caste certificates is to identify all the bona fide students who belong to scheduled castes/tribes so that they can benefit from facilities offered by the Government of India. This will help the students to get free admission in educational institutions all across the country and avail other academic facilities.
Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has made it easy for the students to link their Aadhaar card to caste certificates. School principals are made responsible for collecting the certificates and Caste Certificate Form from students and submitting them to respective officials. The Government of India has requested all the state governments to submit both caste certificates and domicile certificates of all the students that are granted within a period of 60 days so that they can be linked to the Aadhaar cards of respective students.
