The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) releases a list of Indian bank holidays every year on its official website. RBI provides users with all the information related to bank holidays in different regions of India. However, as per the guidelines of RBI, the banks remain closed on every 2nd & 4th Saturdays and all Sundays of every month. Following given is the list of Bank Holidays in May 2025, as provided by the RBI. It is to be noted that the set of holidays differs from one region to another.

As per RBI, all the public and private sector banks in India remain non-operational on the second and fourth Saturdays and all Sundays of every month. However, the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays remain operational.
