Bank Timings Post COVID-19 Lockdown
Amidst the nationwide lockdown in India implemented due to Coronavirus, several Public and Private sector banks had altered their operating hours, restricted the staff count and suspended non-essential services. However, in August, all the banks restored their normal operations and working hours.
Also, the services which were initially suspended have now been resumed. The banks are taking strict precautions and safety measures for the customers as well as the staff-
- Customers are required to wear a face mask throughout the time in the bank
- Multiple sanitizers are equipped in the banks. Customers are requested to sanitize their hands properly before entering and leaving the bank
- Security staff is trained to perform temperature checks on all the customers
- Customers are requested to keep a safe distance of at least 1 meter from each other

Bank Timings in India
Banks usually open around 9:30 AM and close at 5:30 PM. However, there are some banks that are open 12 hours a day i.e., from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. There are some banks that are open to customers for only six hours from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Hence, it is recommended that one should find out the bank’s workings hours before visiting the branch.

Bank Lunch Timings
Banks do not close down for business during lunch hours. Customers can visit the bank at any time during the bank’s working hours to conduct businesses. Bank employees take their lunch break in batches so that the business is not affected. They usually take lunch between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
RBI Bank Timings
Reserve Bank of India operates on the weekdays only. RBI bank timings are as follows:

Bank NEFT Timings
NEFT working hours are determined by the Reserve Bank of India. From 16 December 2019, NEFT has been made a 24×7 available service for the customers. The system will be available on all days of the year, including holidays. This includes 48 half-hourly settlement batches starting from-
