How to Register for CBI Net Banking?
- Collect the application form from the nearest branch or the CBI official website https://www.centralbank.net.in/jsp/Register.htm.
- Fill out all the details in the form correctly and submit the form in the branch where the account is held.
- Once the bank receives the duly filled form, it starts processing the activation of the net banking service.
- The login password and the transaction password are sent to the registered address separately.
- On receiving the passwords, the user has to visit the branch to collect the User ID.
- User ID, login password and the transaction password are then used to activate net banking.

Steps to Create Login Password Online
- Select the ‘Online Password’ option on the CBI net banking login page.
- Enter the 10 digit CIF number and phone number registered with the account. Put 91 before the 10-digit phone number.
- Select the ‘Generate’ option and then, click next.
- A One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the registered number. It will expire within 3 minutes.
- Use this password to log in and then, change it before it expires.
How to Create a Transaction Password (T-PIN) Online?
- Log in using the User ID and Password.
- Go to the options menu in the CBI net banking site and select the ‘Transaction Password Generation’ option.
- Enter the mobile number registered with the account.
- One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the registered phone number. It will expire within 3 minutes.
- Set a new T-PIN by changing the OTP within 3 minutes.
How to Add a Beneficiary in CBI Net Banking?
To transfer the funds, the recipient has to be added as a beneficiary first. To add a beneficiary, the following steps are needed to be followed:
- Log in into the CBI net banking account.
- Go to the ‘Fund Transfer’ option and click on ‘Add Beneficiary’.
- Select an option from ‘CBI’ or ‘other bank’.
- After the selection, either the bank and the branch name or the IFSC code has to be entered.
- Fill out all the other necessary details along with the beneficiary’s unique nickname. Try to avoid using special characters or numeric digits while filling out these details.
- Once all the fields are filled, click ‘submit’.
- After confirming the addition of beneficiary, three grid values are entered. If the grid authentication is successful, the beneficiary is added.
How to Open CBI Savings Account Online?
- Log onto the bank’s ‘online savings account opening portal’.
- Fill out the form available there correctly.
- After the duly filled in form is submitted, the bank processes the request of opening a new savings account.
- Users can check the status of their savings account opening application form through this portal.
