NEFT is one of the most popular options available to make fund transfers online. HDFC offers this facility to all account holders. In order to access NEFT transfers online, you need to activate net banking services for your account or register for mobile banking by downloading the application. If you have no access to online banking, you can even make NEFT transfers offline. All you have to do is visit your nearest HDFC branch and fill up the NEFT Form. Alternatively, you can download HDFC NEFT Form PDF online from the HDFC Bank’s official website.

HDFC Bank also allows walk-in customers who do not have an account with them to make NEFT Transfers offline. For account holders, offline NEFT transactions offer the same benefits as the online one.

How to fill HDFC NEFT Form?

A NEFT form is available at the branch that you wish to make the transaction from. You can also download HDFC NEFT Form PDF online from the official HDFC website. There are several portals that also give you access to a fillable form that you can enter the details in and simply print.

The HDFC NEFT Form helps you provide the necessary details of the beneficiary to enable the NEFT transaction. You will have to provide the following details:

  • Name of the Beneficiary
  • Account Number of the Beneficiary
  • IFSC Code of the bank that the beneficiary holds the account in
  • Name of the Remitter
  • Account Details of the Remitter
  • Phone number of the remitter

Once these details are filled in, submit the HDFC NEFT form at the branch. The details provided will be submitted in to a computer by an executive at HDFC Bank. After the details have been entered, the NEFT transaction is made online by the bank to transfer funds into the beneficiary account of your choice.

HDFC Bank NEFT Timings and Holidays

NEFT is not a 24/7 service. There are fixed timings that are applicable to all NEFT transactions as provided by the Reserve Bank of India. These timings may vary slightly from one bank to the other. In case of HDFC Bank, the standard NEFT timings across all branches in India are as follows:

  • Monday to Saturday: 8 am to 6:30 pm

These NEFT Transfers also have fixed holidays. You will not be able to use NEFT on 2nd and 4th Saturday, Sundays and on official bank holidays. Any transactions made on these days will be credited to the beneficiary account on the next working day.

On the days when you can use NEFT, the settlements are made on a half hourly basis. With NEFT, the transactions are cleared as in 23 half hourly settlement batches per day.

HDFC Bank NEFT Charges

HDFC Bank comes with a minimum & maximum NEFT limit of Rs.1 & Rs. 10 lakh respectively (using net banking). For the convenience offered by this facility, some charges are applicable to each transaction that you make.
