Mumbai Bank Holidays in 2024

Note: It is to be noted that all Saturdays and Sundays are bank holidays.

As mentioned above, banks remain closed on 2nd and 4th Saturdays and all Sundays every month. Banks also remain closed on banking holidays, regional holidays, or national holidays. In case you wish to make a bank transaction on bank holidays, you can do so via any one of the means given below:

• Transfer funds via NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, UPI
• Access to Mobile-banking and Net-banking services
• Cheque Drop facility at ATM or other Cheque Drop-boxes
• ATM Services

 Note: According to RBI instructions, the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays of every month will be working days for both scheduled and non-scheduled banks. Thus, the banks will remain closed on Sundays and the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month.

The following is the list of upcoming Saturday bank holidays when all banks of Mumbai will be closed for routine banking transaction activities.

Note: It is to be noted that in addition to the above mentioned holidays, the 2nd and 4th Saturdays and all Sundays in a month are bank holidays, as provided by the RBI.

Banks do not remain open on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month and the 5th Saturday is a working day for banks if a particular month has five Saturdays. The following is the list of Saturday bank holidays in 2021:

Banks remain closed on all Sundays and 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month. Apart from these days, banks might also be closed on banking holidays, regional holidays, or national holidays. If customers need to make a bank transaction on bank holidays, they may do so through any one of the following ways:

• Fund transfer using IMPS, NEFT, UPI
• Access to Net-banking and Mobile-banking services
• ATM Services
• Cheque Drop facility at ATM/other Cheque Drop-boxes
