As per the recent updates in the RTGS and NEFT timings by the RBI, Union Bank of India will be providing RTGS and NEFT services for fund transfer on a round-the-clock basis i.e. 24x7x365 days.

Union Bank of India Post COVID-19 Lockdown
Post COVID-19 lockdown, Union Bank of India has restored its normal operating hours along with all the banking services for the customers. During the lockdown, the bank had made some affirmative adjustments in the staff count and also furnished ‘COVID-19 Regulatory Package’ in order to safeguard its customers as well as the staff.
Union Bank had temporarily closed several banking services after the guidelines issued by the Indian Banks Association (IBA). Now, post COVID-19 lockdown, all banking services including account opening, passbook printing, cash deposit and withdrawal, cheque clearing, remittances and government transactions, and note exchange services have been resumed.
However, it is suggested that customers should use Union Bank of India Net-banking and Union Bank of India Mobile Banking services for all the financial as well as non-financial transactions, and avoid visiting the branch unless absolutely necessary. Also, customers visiting the bank are requested to follow the guidelines related to social distancing and sanitisation, issued by the bank amidst the pandemic.

NEFT Timings
NEFT Transactions in branches are processed in batches between 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM every day except on 2nd and 4th Saturday, Sundays, and bank holidays. Account-holders can access the NEFT facility through online banking 24×7. Moreover, no charges are imposed on the transfer of funds online via NEFT system.
RTGS Timings
Real-time Gross Settlement (RTGS) service is available at Union Bank of India from 8:00 AM to 4:20 PM every day except on 2nd and 4th Saturday, Sundays and bank holidays.

Union Bank of India does not have a formal lunch break for its employees. The employees take their lunch break in batches to ensure smooth operation of the bank’s services. I went Union Bank of India in my home town PATTUKKOTTAI Branch at 2 o’clock they told me that bank will close now and come back at 2:30 pm, and they said it is bank rules. Is that correct? If not where should I complaint about the issues. Please guide me.
