Activation of Vijaya UPI
Vijaya UPI is the one-stop solution for the customers of Vijaya Bank, in order to make their mobile banking transactions that much more convenient. Vijaya UPI takes mobile banking to the level of instant fund transfer services, which almost all the banks now offer. In order to activate services of Vijaya UPI, a customer needs to follow these simple steps:
- Firstly, download the application from the play store, depending on which operating system is supported by your phone. The most common are android, iOS and Windows.
- Once the application has been downloaded, open it up and follow the directions to register yourself. For this, you will need to give the account details of the account that you wish to link with the UPI. Please remember that this is the first and the last time that you will be asked to give your account details. Do not feed in these details at the time of your transactions. If the software insists on the information, abort the process and contact your bank for any further clarifications.
- The next step is creating a VPA or Virtual Payment Address. This will be the id from which you will carry out all your future transactions on the application. It will act as your virtual identification as well as a replacement for your account details for your online transactions.
- Once the ID is created, you have to fill in the MPIN. This MPIN is a sort of password. Each time you make a transaction or use the app for any services, you will have to feed the MPIN. It is highly advised never to share your MPIN with anyone. It is as good as sharing your account details.
- There are no costs involved in either downloading the application or operating it. Most banks do not charge any money for the transactions made through the application. The only expense that the customer bears are the data/internet charges, which are inclusive of the mobile connection and not the application.
Features of the Vijaya Bank Mobile Banking Services
The Vijaya UPI empowers its users to make easy and seamless cash transactions without having to visit the banks every now and then. Some of the features of the Vijaya Bank Mobile Banking are as follows:

- The application also provides you with an option of using your account number and IFSC code or your Mobile Number to send money or make payments.
- The application also enables you to add and remove beneficiaries instantly, by simply using your VPA. Once you have added beneficiaries, you need not remember any other details about them. All you need to do is click on the name of the respective beneficiary and transfer the money. Having beneficiaries is useful and recommended if you have people to whom you transfer money on a regular basis or at set intervals. For instance, parent/spouse or a fixed utility bill such as Internet charges.
- Once you have linked your accounts to the Vijaya UPI, it enables you to check you balance through the application itself. You need not head to the ATM or open your computer to check your balance time and again. It is available at your fingertips, quite literally!
- You are also enabled to request for payments through this application. Which means you simply need to send a virtual request for payment to the sender and they can transfer it on your application. Once the transaction is complete the amount credited will show in your account.
- You need not look at the time while transferring funds. The application enables round the clock funds transfer seven days a week. The only time you may face trouble is when the server is down, in which case it is advised to contact the bank’s customer care.
- Unlike your bank details, your VPA is an encrypted address, which can openly be shared by you with other relevant parties, without any fear of being misused. Without the relevant details, this address is useless for anyone else.
- You can create multiple VPA for several bank accounts on the same platform and manage it through a single application.
- You can also avail the facility of scan and pay. You can scan the QR code of the vendor or merchant and make the payments. It acts as a virtual wallet.
- You can check you past payments by accessing the transaction history. This facility helps you keep tabs on your expenses and ensure that your account does not run dry. It is also helpful to track any unaccounted payments that may have been made from your account.
- The application enables you to report such queries and any other grievances by clicking on the option of complaints. The bank will attempt an instant redressal of the grievance.
- You can also keep track of your complaints and check its status.
