All you need to know about the New Honda City

Honda City, one of the most successful sedans in India, is back! The revamped Honda City has received subtle cosmetic upgrades and has already got the market going. The facelift, which was launched on 14^th February, replaces the 4^th generation City that was launched in Jan 2014. The new model is touted to give Maruti Suzuki’s Ciaz some tough competition to regain the top slot in the mid-sized sedan segment.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new Honda City:

Exterior

The facelift version of Honda City is equipped with upgraded LED headlamps and DRLs which give it a bold and aggressive look. The new edition has been updated with a larger front grille and a Y-shaped profile. The front of the car boasts of a sharper look with black borders around the fog lamps. Honda City 2017 is equipped with an upgraded bumper and 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. However, the overall design is same as the previous model.

Interior

The interiors of the new Honda City feature silver and black-themed cabin with an updated infotainment system along with Android Auto and mobile mirroring app. Based on the requirement of the buyer, the car will support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Additionally, the revamped City has parking camera, parking sensors, leather seat upholstery and automatic climate control. The safety features include EBD (Electronic Brake force Distribution), ABS (Anti-lock braking System) and dual front airbags.

The new Honda City will continue with its 1.5 litre petrol and diesel engine variants. I-VTEC technology-based petrol engine is capable of producing 145 nm of torque, whereas, I-DTEC technology diesel engine can produce 200 nm of torque and 99 HP of power. Transmission features includes CVT unit and 5- speed manual, while diesel variant is equipped with a 6-speed manual unit.
