Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. (Toyota), the India-based subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan, is all set to launch its new Toyota Innova Crysta in the first week of May. Though the official unveiling of the vehicle hasn’t occurred as of yet, a number of images and details of the new vehicle are available online. The new launch is expected to feature a complete redesign of both the exterior and interior of the car and the pictures available online highlight the fact. As per available reports, Toyota is initially expected to launch only the diesel variant of the Innova Cryta in India.
Under the hood, the new car features a 2.4 litre GD series diesel engine with a VNT Intercooler that is capable of producing power of 149 PS and torque of 360 Nm in the automatic variant. In case of the manual transmission variant of Innova Crysta, the torque produced by the same engine increases to 342 Nm. Externally, the car features a hexagonal grille unlike any previous Innova models, headlamps with LED elements and projector as well as an all new rear design consisting of chrome inserts and wraparound tail lamps. The Toyota Innova Crysta is expected to be launched in three separate models – G, V and Q, with the Q model being the premium variant of the car and G being the base model.
