Volkswagen has launched a new version of its premium hatchback Polo priced between Rs 5.24 lakh and Rs 8.42 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). In this version, you will find all the comforts associated with a Volkswagen, only further amplified by the new features introduced.
“With the new Polo, we have enhanced the driving comfort for our customers. We are confident that the introduction of new features in Polo in this festive season will appeal to discerning car buyers across the country who demand nothing less than the best that German engineering has to offer,” Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India, said in a statement.
The new Polo 2015 boasts of such new features as cruise control, cooled glove box and electrically foldable ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirror) with turn indicators across all variants of the model. The new Polo range has a three-cylinder 1.2-litre MPI, a four-cylinder turbocharged 1.2-litre TSI and a four-cylinder 1.5-litre TDI engine.
Dual front airbags have been added as standard on all the variants of Polo 201, making it the only premium hatchback in its segment with a 4-star Global NCAP* safety rating for its adult occupants.
By launching the new Polo, Volkswagen is aiming to gain more share in the highly competitive premium hatchback segment, currently dominated by Hyundai’s i20 series.
