If you are looking to buy a car, this is the perfect time to bring home your dream vehicle. With GST (Goods and Services Tax) slated to be rolled out from July 1st, 2017, most automobile giants are offering huge “Pre-GST” discounts on a range of car models.
Car companies are offering discounts from Rs 15,000 to as high as Rs 2.5 lakhs. These discounts are available in the form of cash discounts or exchange bonus. The discounts, however, may vary from dealer to dealer and it is advisable that you contact the respective dealer to get the details of exact discounts on the car you aim to buy.
Here are some automobile giants who have jumped on the ‘Pre-GST’ discount bandwagon.
Ford
Ford has offered a discount of Rs 10,000 on Aspire and Figo whereas it has offered exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 on previously mentioned models and Ecosport. The discount is only for a fixed period, i.e. before GST is implemented after June.
Honda
Honda has also offered decent discounts and exchange bonus of around Rs 20,000 to 25,000 on select models. These discounts are available on Amaze, Brio, BRV and Jazz. The company has kept WRV and the new 2017 Honda City out of the discount umbrella.
Hyundai
Hyundai Motors has come out with the fiercest and most competitive pre GST marketing strategy where they are offering discounts from Rs 25,000 to Rs 2.5 lakhs. In addition to this, the company is offering 100% on-road financing on its cars to its customers making it very easy to take car loans and bringing the vehicle to your home. Discounts are offered on models like Eon, Elite i20, Grand i10, old Xcent, Xcent 2017, Santa Fe and Verna.
Mahindra & Mahindra
Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) is offering discounts from Rs 15,000 to Rs 65,000 in the form of cash discounts and exchange bonus. Minimum exchange bonus offered by M&M is Rs 15,000. These discounts are available on models like KUV100, Scorpio, TUV300 and XUV500.
Maruti Suzuki
Maruti Suzuki is offering discounts in the Range of Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000 on its models like Alto 800, Alto K10, Celerio, Ertiga, Swift and Wagon R. The company, however, is providing no exchange offers on Baleno, Ciaz, new Dzire, Ignis and S-Cross.
Tata Motors
Tata Motors has also been very generous in offering discounts to its potential customers. It has offered a discount of Rs 1 lakh on two of its models, Bolt and Zest. Its Hexa model is available with an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000. However, there is no announced discount on Tiago, Tigor and all Safari variants.
Volkswagen
The German auto giant has also showered discounts on its various models. It has offered discounts of Rs 30,000 on Polo, Rs 35,000 on Ameo and Rs 40,000 on Vento. The company has not offered any exchange bonus on any of its models.
