Update (6 September 2024): Existing Vistara credit cardholders can continue availing the benefits on their Vistara credit cards as per the existing structure and terms until 31 March 2026.
Axis Vistara Infinite Credit Card is one of the rare premium airline co-branded credit cards in India offering benefits in Vistara’s Business Class Segment. While the reward rate on the card is not too impressive, cardholders can still maximize their savings through an excellent milestones program, which allows them to earn up to 5 complimentary Business Class Tickets in a year. This makes it a valuable option for high-spending Vistara loyalists who can easily reach these spend thresholds.
In April 2024, some features were revised across all Axis Bank Credit Cards, which also affected Axis Vistara Infinite. Gold/jewellery and insurance spends were excluded from rewards and spend milestone calculation. A number of everyday spending categories like fuel, utilities, etc. were already excluded. These added exclusions might make it difficult for cardholders to maximize the milestone benefits, especially for those who used to put high-ticket spends like jewellery purchases to meet the spend threshold.
Another valuable feature on this card is the complimentary Club Vistara Gold membership. From 1st March 2024, the free membership will only be offered for the first year. Second year onwards, users will have to take at least 4 Vistara flights and earn 15,000 Tier Points to be eligible for renewal. This comes as a disappointment for frequent travellers as the Gold Membership entitled them to several privileges like priority check-in, priority waitlist clearance, class upgrade, etc. However, those who fly frequently with Vistara would not find it difficult to meet this requirement.
Overall, despite recent revisions in the rewards program, Axis Vistara Infinite Credit Card continues to remain a good option for Vistara loyalists who fly business class.
There are a few downsides too. From a premium card like this, consumers would expect some form of international travel benefits. It offers only 2 domestic lounge visits in a year and no international lounge visits and charges a high forex mark-up fee of 3.5%. Hence, this card may not be the best choice for foreign travel.
If you are looking for other variants of this card, you can opt for Axis Vistara Credit Card or Axis Vistara Signature Credit Card.
