What is no-cost EMI?
No-cost EMI refers to when the total purchase price is converted into EMIs and no extra cost (like processing fee) is levied for this conversion. Do note that the bank will levy interest on the EMI. However, the interest amount will be returned to you as an upfront discount at the time of payment.

Can I convert my purchases into EMI without using a credit card?
Certain banks offer an EMI conversion facility on debit cards. It is offered only to select customers. You may opt for a debit card EMI if you do not have a credit card. This facility is offered by Flipkart as well.

How does a discount or cashback offer work?
In the case of an instant discount, you will pay the discounted amount (actual price minus the discounted amount) after the application of the discount. For example, suppose the price of a product is Rs. 10,000. After availing of the instant discount of 10%, you will have to pay only Rs. 9,000 (10,000 – 10%).

Cashbacks, on the other hand, usually take some time to process. The time taken to process the request usually begins once the product is out of its ‘return by date’ period. Thus, you can expect to get the cashback anywhere between 15 days to 3 months or more. It depends on the bank’s and Flipkart’s internal policies.

Do I get the same amount of discount or cashback if I choose to pay via cash on delivery (COD) or pay via a credit card?
Most of the offers are applicable on prepaid orders only. Some e-commerce website allows you to pay via card at the time of delivery. However, they still might not provide the same benefits on this mode of payment.
