HDFC Bank has revised its reward points program and fee structure for all HDFC credit cards. The bank has imposed a few restrictions to the maximum cap on reward points redemption along with a hike in fee structure. Here are the changes that have been made under the rewards program and fee structure:
Changes in Reward Points Program effective from 1 Jan 2023:
Here are the changes related to the credit card reward points redemption and earning that will apply to HDFC credit cards:
- The redemption of reward points against flights & hotel bookings through the SmartBuy portal will be capped at 1,50,000 reward points per month for HDFC Infinia
- Similarly, for HDFC Diners Club Black Credit Card, the redemption of reward points against flights & hotel bookings will be capped at 75,000 reward points in a month
- All other cards will have a maximum redemption of 50,000 reward points per month
- For HDFC Infinia Credit Card, the redemption of reward points against Tanishq vouchers through the SmartBuy portal will be capped at 50,000 reward points per month
- The reward points earned on grocery transactions will be capped at 2,000 points per month for Infinia, Diners Club Black, Regalia, Regalia Gold, Regalia first, Business Regalia, Business Regalia first, Diners Club Privilege, Diners Club Premium, Diners Clubmiles and Tata Neu Infinity cards
- For all other cards, the reward points earned on grocery transactions will be capped at 1,000 points per month
- Reward points cannot be earned on rent payments on all the credit cards
- Government-related and education-related transactions will not earn reward points on all the cards except Business Regalia, Business Regalia First, Busines MoneyBack, CSC Small Business MoneyBack, Paytm Business, Flipkart Business, Retailio, Best Price Save Smart, Best Price Save Max and Pinelabs
