Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Limited recently launched TMB prepaid card and TMB gift card to assist customers with digital banking.
The TMB prepaid card functions similar to a debit or credit card with the RuPay platform. This payment instrument is valid for five years and the top-ups are available in multiples of Rs 100. This multipurpose card can be used for cash withdrawal at ATMs and for making online and offline shopping purchases, but only in India.
The TMB gift card does not require an individual to have an account with the bank. This non-reloadable prepaid card is based on the RuPay platform. It can be used in 8,75,000 outlets, through 10,000 e-commerce websites at point of sale terminals at merchant outlets in India for three years. The first prepaid card was offered to the Chairman of AVM group of companies, Mani and Managing Director of Nila group of companies, D. Chandran. And, the first gift card was given to J. Michael Motha, Managing Director, Sahayamatha Salterns private limited.
TMB prepaid and gift cards were also distributed to many of the bank’s customers during the program launch.
