How to Activate your SBI Debit Card for International Transactions?
You can enable international transactions on your SBI Debit Card by using the YONO SBI App. For this follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Login on the YONO SBI App with your MPIN or user id and password.
Step 2: On the home page navigate to the section ‘Quick Links’ and move to ‘Service Request’.
Step 3: Now choose the option ‘ATM/Debit Card’. Here enter your ‘Internet Banking Profile password’ and click on submit.
Step 4: On successful submission, choose the option ‘Manage Cards’.
Step 5: Now select the account and debit card, from the drop-down menu and go to ‘Manage Usage’.
Step 6: Here you can drag the toggle to the right to allow International usage with your debit card.
Step 7: To confirm, you need to authenticate the transaction by entering the one-time OTP sent on your registered mobile number and click on ‘Submit’.
Step 8: On successful activation, a confirmation SMS is sent to you.

How to Activate SBI Debit Card for Online Transactions/E-commerce Transactions?
In case you have not been using your SBI debit card for e-commerce transactions through websites for a long time, the facility might have been disabled. You can activate online transactions on your SBI Debit Card via the YONO SBI App or via the SMS Banking facility.
Via YONO SBI: To activate your SBI ATM Card for e-commerce transactions, you can follow similar steps as mentioned above. In Step 6, you can drag the toggle for e-commerce transactions, and follow the same process as it is.
Via SMS Banking: To enable the same, you can also use the SMS banking facility. For this, you need to send an SMS, “swon ecom nnnn” (nnnn is the last four digits of the card eg., 0647) to 09223966666. Additionally, you can also use onlinesbi.com. How to Activate your SBI Debit Card for Contactless Transactions?
You can allow contactless transactions on your SBI Debit card, to save time and effort while paying at the POS terminals. These transactions are safe and secure, based on NFC functionality. To enable contactless transactions on your SBI Debit card, you need to visit the ‘Manage Cards’ section on the SBI app. For this, you can follow similar steps, (as mentioned above) on the YONO SBI APP. However, in step 6, you need to drag the toggle to the right against the option ‘Contactless (NFC) functionality. Note that the per transaction limit for contactless transactions is Rs. 5,000.

How to Activate SBI ATM/Debit Card via Internet Banking?
To activate the State Bank of India ATM or debit card online, you must log in to the SBI portal and select the e-services page. Check out this step-by-step instruction for online SBI ATM card activation.
Step 1: Go to www.onlinesbi.com.
Step 2: Log into the SBI net banking system using your username and password.
Step 3: Choose e-Services and then the ‘ATM card services option.
Step 4: A new page will open; choose ‘New ATM Card Activation.’
Step 5: Select an account for which you have applied for a new ATM on the next page.
Step 6: Enter the 16-digit ATM card number in the provided field. Enter it again in the next bar to confirm, then click the ‘Activate’ button.
Step 7: Check that all of the details appear on the new page. Select the ‘Confirm’ option.
On your registered cellphone number, you will get a high-security password. Here, enter the high-security password and then click the ‘confirm’ button. The statement ‘ATM card has been activated” will be shown on the screen. After the card is activated you will need to generate an ATM PIN which can be done by visiting any ATM, through SMS or through IVR, or else you can also visit a branch to get an ATM PIN.

How to Activate an SBI debit Card through ATM?
The process to activate your SBI debit card via ATM is known as the “Green PIN generation” and activation process. Read below to know the steps to generate a green PIN and how to activate SBI Debit Card in ATM:
Step 1: Visit your nearest ATM branch and start by inserting your debit card
Step 2: Enter your 11- account number and click “Confirm”
Step 3: Enter your registered mobile number and click “Confirm”
Step 4: A message stating that the PIN has been sent to your registered mobile will appear on the screen. Click on “Confirm” and proceed
Step 5: A One Time Pin will be sent to your registered mobile number. This PIN has a validity of 2 days, which can be used to set a new ATM PIN.
How to Activate SBI debit card by SMS?
Alternatively, you can also generate a green ATM PIN by sending an SMS in the form of PIN SPACE last 4 digits of your debit card SPACE last 4 digits of your account number to 567676. After sending this message you will receive a One Time PIN that can be used to create a new ATM PIN using the process mentioned above.

A One Time Pin will be sent to your registered mobile number. This PIN has a validity of 2 days, which can be used to set a new ATM PIN.
How to activate a card using the Green PIN/One Time Pin?
Within 2 days of receiving the green PIN or One Time Pin, visit your nearest SBI ATM and generate a new ATM PIN to enable the transactions. Follow the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Visit your nearest ATM branch and start by inserting your debit card
Step 2: Select Banking
Step 3: Under the Enter Your PIN Option enter the One Time PIN received
Step 4: With the help of the PIN Change Option, set a new PIN for your card
The card will now be activated for transactions.
