What all Future Generali Future Criticare plan covers?
As this is not an indemnity plan but a custom-made critical illness cover, it covers treatment costs only for the following diseases:
- Cancer (it includes leukemia, lymphoma, and sarcoma)
- Kidney failure that requires regular dialysis for functioning
- Primary Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
- Liver Failure
- Multiple Sclerosis with Persisting Symptoms (clinical impairment of motor or sensory function)
- Aorta Graft Surgery
- Stroke Which has Induced Permanent Symptoms
- Major Organ Transplant/Bone Marrow Transplant
- Myocardial Infarction (First Instance of a Heart Attack)
- Severe Coma (No response to external interaction for more than 96 hours)
- Complete Blindness
Claim Process
To make a claim, you need to make sure your medical condition for which you underwent treatment or surgery is listed for the claim. If it is, you are required to inform Future Generali about the same as soon as possible. This needs to be done in writing with the following supporting documents:
- Claim Form
- Discharge Certificate/Papers from the hospital
- Doctor’s Certificate regarding the diagnosis
- Certificate from Surgeon explaining the nature of surgery performed along with the bill and receipt
- Any other document asked by the insurance company
It is crucial to check the documents before applying for claim as any error or discrepancy can delay the payment received from the company. The original documents such as x-rays, blood tests and other reports are just required for review and are returned with the amount disbursed.
Cases where you can’t claim Future Generali Future Criticare plan
- No benefits for any pre-existing conditions (if a condition is observed and agreed upon by Future Generali)
- Any medical treatments that are optional in nature
- Any internal or external congenital disease
- Any instance of birth defects
- Any birth control procedure such as abortion or hormone replacement procedures
- Any type of sex change treatment and resulting conditions
- Any non-allopathic methods of treatment such as Ayurvedic, Unani, acupuncture, herbalist, homeopathy, naturopathy, aroma therapy, as well as bone-setting
- Intentionally committed self-harm, STDs, mental disorders such as depression and anxiety HIV Positive (AIDS)
- Any unscientific self-treatment or treatment by a family member
- Effects of any drugs, alcohol, or any hallucinogens (exception to cases that are medically allowed a specific dosage of a substance)
- Any injury arising from instances such as wars, revolutions, and other type of hostility caused by third party
- Involvement in extreme sports such as Skiing, hand-gliding, scuba diving, paragliding, mountaineering, rally racing, horse-riding, rafting, deep-sea diving, or attempting any adventurous sport that you practice but are untrained
- Conditions which are not diagnosed in India (exception will be made if an Indian physician checks and confirms the condition
