Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) – Housing For All (HFA) is a government scheme that aims to provide about 2 crore affordable housing to people belonging to urban and rural poor by 31 March 2022. Launched in 2015 by PM Narendra Modi, the scheme offers various benefits including an upfront interest subsidy of up to Rs. 2.67 lakh on housing loans.
Note: The Union Cabinet has extended the implementation period of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY – U) till December 31, 2024 with all verticals except Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS). CLSS vertical for MIG I & II under PMAY U was up to March 31, 2021 and for LIG/EWS was up to March 31, 2022. During the extension period no additional houses will be sanctioned. However, financial assistance is to be provided for the completion of 122.69 lakh houses, which were already sanctioned till March 31, 2022, under BLC, AHP & ISSR verticals of PMAY U.

Steps to Apply for PMAY Scheme Online
Step 1: Visit the Official Website of PMAY
Visit the official website of PMAY (http://pmaymis.gov.in).
Step 2: Select the Citizen Assessment Link
Select the “Benefits under other 3 components” option from the “Citizen Assessment” drop-down menu.
Step 3: Enter Aadhaar Number
You will be redirected to the ‘Check Aadhaar/VID No. Existence’ page where you have to enter your ‘Aadhaar’ or ‘Virtual ID’ and ‘Name as per Aadhaar’.
Step 4: Fill Required Details
You will be redirected to the application page. Here you have to fill all the details such as the name of the beneficiary, contact details, all personal details, income details, bank account and all the other required information.
Step 5: Save the PMAY Application Form
Once you have filled all the details in the form, you have to click on the disclaimer checkbox, enter the Captcha and click on the ‘Save’ button.

Step 6: Print the PMAY Application Form

Step 7: Submit the PMAY Application Form
Submit the print out of PMAY application form and all supporting documents at the nearest Common Service Centres (CSC) or financial institutions/banks.
Procedure to Apply for PMAY Scheme Offline
Customers who wish to apply for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana offline can do so by filling the form available at the Common Service Centre (CSC) established by the State Governments. The form can be bought at a nominal cost of Rs. 25 + applicable GST.
Home loan borrowers who are eligible for PMAY CLSS subsidy but have not availed it when taking a home loan can submit their request to their bank or lending institution. The lender will review your request for PMAY scheme and will submit the claim to National Housing Bank (NHB). NHB, after performing data validation and other checks, will disburse the subsidy amount to the respective lender who will credit the amount to the home loan account of the borrower and adjust in the loan accordingly.

How to Track Your PMAY Assessment Status Online
Step 1: Visit the PM Awas Yojana official website.
Step 2: Select the ‘Track Your Assessment Status’ option from the ‘Citizen Assessment’ drop-down menu.
Step 3: You will be redirected to Track Assessment Form. Track your PMAY assessment status by using your Name, Father’s Name & Mobile No. or Assessment ID.
