SBI Home Loan Application Form in Detail
SBI home loan application form is available online on the SBI official website. A standard SBI home loan form includes the following four segments:
- Form A – Personal Details
- Form B – Employment & Income Details
- Form C – Property & Loan Details
- Form D – Declaration

Form A – Personal Details
The topmost part of the Form A requires applicants to declare if they are applying for SBI home loan as an applicant, co-applicant or guarantor. Individuals applying for home loan solely will select the “Applicant” option. Individuals applying for home loan jointly will select the “Co-applicant” option. Lastly, applicants guaranteeing to pay a borrower’s debt in the event he/she defaults on a loan obligation should select the “Guarantor” option.
Next, fill in your personal details, which include:
- Name
- Gender
- Salutation (title)
- Date of Birth
- Marital Status
- Name of Spouse, Father and Mother
- Total number of dependents in your family
- Number of children
- Category (SC/ST/OBC/ General)
- Nationality, Residential Status (Resident/NRI/PIO) and Religion
- Place of Birth
- Proof of Identity Type, Number & Validity (Aadhaar, PAN Card, Voter’s ID, Driving License, Passport, etc.)
- Highest education qualification and the qualifying year
- Current address details in full
- Duration of your stay in the current address
- Type of Residence
- Permanent address details in full
- Contact numbers (landline and/or mobile number)
- Personal email address
- Permanent address in full (if any)
- Telephone number of permanent address
- Office or business address
- Office contact details such as telephone/mobile numbers, email address and fax number
- Home loan repayment mode
- Relationship with the bank
- Names and addresses of at least two referees who are not related to you

Form B – Employment & Income Details
In Form B, applicants will have to again specify if they are applying for SBI housing loan as an applicant, co-applicant or guarantor. Next, select the nature of your occupation – Salaried, Businessmen/Self Employed Professionals or Pensioner. Following this, provide details as required under the following sections:
Salaried Individual
This section is for applicants who are employed under an organization and get a regular paycheck. If you are a salaried individual, you will need to provide the following details:
- Name of the current employer
- Status of Employment
- Total Working Experience
- Experience in the Current Job
- Experience in the Previous Job (if applicable)
- Name of the Previous Employer
- If you had a previous employer, mention its name, contact number and address
- Current industry you are working such as banking and insurance, telecom and IT & software
- The type of your current organization
- Current department, designation, employee number and remaining service
Businessmen/Self Employed Professionals
This section is for applicants who either are running their own business or are self employed professionals (such as lawyers and journalists). Following are the details that applicants who are businessmen or self employed professionals need to specify in the form:
- Nature of business
- Business name
- Industry
- Trade license number and its issue date
- Percentage of share holding
- Type of ownership
- Total number of partners (in case of joint ownership)
Other Details
- Employer/Corporate Website
- Name of the person that holds the Power of Attorney (POA) (if any)
Income/Financial Details
- Breakup of your income such as Gross income, Net income, Frequency of receiving income and Mode of payment (cheque/net transfer)
- Existing obligations/Deduction details such as Gross obligations, Net obligations and Frequency of meeting the obligations
- Details of existing loans (if any)
- Details of bank accounts
- Details of credit cards
- Details of fixed deposits
- Details of other current assets (such as bonds, shares, mutual funds, precious metals and immovable properties)
- As a self-notarization of the information provided in the form, the individual filling up the form will have to sign at the end of the form along with his/her name and date

Form C – Property & Loan Details
In Form C, applicants will specify the home loan scheme they want to avail from SBI. Following this, provide details as required:
- Specify whether the builder is part of the tie-up with SBI or is willing to form collaboration. If the builder is already linked with SBI, mention the tie-up ID
- Property type
- Name of builder and project
- Building name/number and wing name
- Built-up area, plot area and plinth area in square feet
- Flat/plot number and block number (if applicable)
- Name, address and contact number of the seller (if different from the builder)
- Name of the registered owner
- Complete address of the property
- Cost of the property or project
- Down payment required and the percentage of down payment sought
- Loan amount, repayment frequency and loan tenure
- Purpose of the loan
- Type of interest rate preferred
- Moratorium period (Period where borrower is not required to pay EMIs or interest)
- Specify whether you want loan interest to be capitalized during this period or not
- Specify if you would want to be covered under SBI home loan insurance
- If you choose to take insurance cover by SBI, pick the preferred policy
- Specify whether you would pay the one-time premium or eligwould like to add it to your home loan
- Lastly, the form will require signatures of the applicant, co-applicant and guarantor as applicable.

Form D – Declaration
The Form D requires applicants to express their dissent or consent for sharing, disclosing exchanging or using all or any such information related to them. The form also requires applicants to declare that all information given in the form is true and correct in all respects and the bank can verify it through any means. The form also requires applicants to acknowledge that they have read, understood and agree to all terms and conditions governing the home loan scheme selected by them. At the end of the form, all parties need to sign in the space provided and mention the place and date.
Note:
When filling the form if at any point an applicant is unable to understand any part of the form, it is advisable to consult your bank relationship manager. Even when in doubt, consult the right person for guidance instead of providing incorrect details as doing so can lead to loan rejection, which can further weaken your chances of availing another loan and might also impact your credit score.
