MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Credit Card is a new co-branded travel card that has replaced ICICI Bank’s two MakeMyTrip co-branded cards – MMT ICICI Platinum and MMT ICICI Signature (both of which have now been discontinued). This new card is offered as a dual proposition with Mastercard and RuPay. Users will receive both variants upon onboarding, offering enhanced network flexibility.

MakeMyTrip ICICI Card offers up to 6% value back in the form of MyCash on bookings made through MMT, along with other travel benefits such as complimentary domestic and international lounge access and a low forex markup fee of 0.99%. With an annual fee of Rs. 999 and such comprehensive features, it will be interesting to see how this card compares to the previous ICICI MakeMyTrip Credit Cards in terms of overall benefits and value.

MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Credit Card is a replacement for the earlier MMT ICICI credit cards. While this card works on a similar structure, offering MyCash on every spend, redeemable for travel bookings on MakeMyTrip, it offers higher value than the previous variants. At a moderate annual fee of Rs. 999, the card offers up to 6% value back on MMT travel spends—surpassing the Signature variant.

The reward structure has also been enhanced, offering 6% myCash on hotel bookings, 3% on flights, holiday packages, cabs, and bus bookings, and 1% on other spends, whether on or outside MMT. Unlike the earlier cards, which offered no accelerated benefits on train bookings, this card allows you to earn 25 MyCash on train bookings via MakeMyTrip.

In terms of travel benefits, this card surpasses previous variants with a low forex markup fee of 0.99% and non-spend-based lounge access benefits. Although the Signature variant used to offer complimentary DreamFolks membership and railway lounge access—features no longer offered on this card—the overall impact on frequent travellers remains minimal.

While some benefits from the earlier cards, such as milestone rewards and complimentary holiday vouchers, have been removed, the new card compensates with welcome and annual benefits, alongside a milestone-based tier upgrade. At an annual fee of Rs. 999, this card offers decent value, especially for MakeMyTrip loyalists—making it a worthy upgrade despite these changes.

Note: 1% myCash can also be earned on insurance spends, though capped at 1,000 myCash in a year.

  • Gold Tier: Users qualify for the Gold Tier on annual spends between Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 2 Lakh, along with the completion of more than 4 trips
  • Platinum Tier: Users are eligible for the Platinum Tier on annual spends of Rs. 2 Lakh or more, in addition to completing over 4 trips

MakeMyTrip ICICI Credit Card can be considered as an upgraded replacement for the previous two MMT ICICI Credit Cards. Priced at a mid-range annual fee of Rs. 999, it surpasses the benefits of the former MMT ICICI Signature variant (Rs. 2,500 annual fee). This card offers up to 6% value back on MakeMyTrip bookings, along with non-spend-based lounge access benefits and a low forex markup fee of 0.99%—a feature usually offered by premium credit cards.

Additionally, the card offers unlimited reward points with no capping or minimum transaction value, allowing cardholders to earn benefits on all travel bookings, whether large or small. However, as this is a co-branded card, it’s important to assess your loyalty to MakeMyTrip. If you frequently travel and prefer MakeMyTrip over other portals, this card is definitely worth considering.
