IDFC FIRST Bank, in collaboration with HPCL, offers two co-branded fuel credit cards, namely HPCL IDFC FIRST Power and Power Plus credit cards. These cards are a great option for HPCL fuel loyalists who are looking to save on their HPCL fuel expenses with up to 6.5% value-back. These cards also offer accelerated rewards on grocery, utility bills and FASTag recharges and charge a low annual fee for these benefits. Both these IDFC FIRST credit card variants also boast of substantial welcome benefits value that far exceeds their annual fee. IDFC FIRST Power and Power Plus Credit Cards let you save in the form of reward points with accelerated earnings on not just HPCL fuel, but also on household-related spends, like grocery and utility bills, along with IDFC FIRST FASTag recharges. Power Plus variant gives you up to 6.5% savings on HPCL co-branded fuel spends in the form of rewards and loyalty points, while the base variant lets you save up to 5%.

The benefits offered by these IDFC FIRST HPCL co-branded cards are quite similar to those offered by ICICI Bank HPCL Coral and HPCL Super Saver Cards. ICICI HPCL Coral and IDFC FIRST Power are the base variants, where Power card stands ahead of Coral which only offers up to 3.5% savings as cashback and fuel surcharge waiver on HPCL fuel spends. When it comes to non-fuel spends, ICICI HPCL Coral still struggles as Power card offers accelerated rewards on grocery and utility spends while the ICICI card doesn’t offer accelerated rewards on any other category. On the other hand, ICICI HPCL Super Saver stands toe-to-toe with IDFC FIRST Power Plus credit card as both offer up to 6.5% savings on co-branded fuel spends and 5% on grocery and utility transactions.

Features of HPCL IDFC FIRST Power & Power+ Credit Cards

Reward Benefits

On Fuel Spends:

  • 3.5% savings via Power card variant as 21 rewards points per Rs. 150 spends on HPCL fuel, up to 700 rewards in a statement cycle
  • 5% savings via Power+ card variant as 30 rewards points per Rs. 150 spends on HPCL fuel, up to 2,400 rewards in a statement cycle
  • 1.5% savings as 6 Happy Coins per Rs. 100 fuel spends through HP Pay App, up to 600 Happy Coins per month. This feature is applicable on credit card payments made by scanning the HP Pay QR code at select HPCL fuel stations via HP Pay App. While only 3 Happy Coins per Rs. 100 are earned on HP Pay Wallet upload.

Here, the earned reward points are credited in the card statement and Happy Coins are credited in the HP Pay app.

On Grocery & Utility Spends:

  • 2.5% savings via Power credit card as 15 Reward points per Rs. 150 spends, up to 400 rewards per statement cycle
  • 5% savings via Power+ credit card as 30 Reward points per Rs. 150 spends, up to 400 rewards per statement cycle

On IDFC FIRST FASTag Recharge:

  • 2.5% savings via HPCL Power card as 15 Reward points per Rs. 150 spends, up to 200 rewards per statement cycle
  • 5% savings via HPCL Power+ card as 30 Reward points per Rs. 150 spends, up to 200 rewards per statement cycle

On UPI and Other Retail Spends:

  • Uncapped 2 reward points per Rs. 150 via IDFC FIRST Power credit card
  • Uncapped 3 reward points per Rs. 150 via IDFC FIRST Power Plus credit card

Excluded Categories: Insurance premiums, non-HPCL fuel, EMI transactions and ATM cash withdrawals are ineligible for earning reward points. Moreover, the spends made on HPCL fuel, LPG, grocery, utility and IDFC FIRST FASTag recharges are not going to accrue any reward points beyond the monthly capping as mentioned above.

Here, the conversion rate of the earned reward points is:
1 Reward Point = Rs. 0.25
1 Happy Coin = Rs. 0.25

IDFC FIRST HPCL Power and Power Plus credit cards come with several joining offers which are applicable during certain time-periods only, that is, until 31st March 2025.

Fuel Cashback: You can avail cashback on 1st HPCL fuel transactions done within the first 30 days of card set-up.

  • Rs. 250 cashback on the 1st HPCL fuel transactions of minimum Rs. 250 via HPCL Power card
  • Rs. 500 cashback on the 1st HPCL fuel transaction of minimum Rs. 500 via HPCL Power Plus card

Zoomcar Discount: Rs. 1,000 off on Zoomcar self-drive car on minimum rental duration of 2 days using the promocode ALIDFCFIRST.

EMI Cashback: Cardholders get 5% cashback of up to Rs. 1,000 on their first EMI conversion done within 30 days of card set up. This offer is applicable on all transactions worth Rs. 2,500 or above that are converted to EMIs of min. 6 months tenure, except jewellery and fuel spends.

Before applying for the credit cards, it is advisable to have a healthy credit score and an acceptable past credit utilisation ratio. Additionally, you must satisfy the following basic eligibility criteria to be eligible for the HPCL IDFC FIRST Power and Power Plus credit cards:
