With your Kotak White Credit Card, you will get a voucher worth Rs. 1,500 on spending Rs. 30,000 within the first 60 days of card set-up. This is a decent benefit offered by the card, however, this does not compensate for the joining fee and annual fee charged on the card. 

Spend and earn rewards in White Pass Value

Kotak White Credit Card does not offer direct reward points but offers them in the form of a White Pass. This White Pass can be compared to a virtual wallet. If you achieve the spend milestones, you will get rewards in the form of White Pass Value. You can then use the accumulated value to claim vouchers from premium partner brands. You can use White Pass redeem across multiple categories such as apparel, hotels & dining, beauty, grooming services, etc. These vouchers can be used both online and offline at your convenience.

Redemption of White Pass Value:

• After you meet the minimum spend milestone of Rs. 2 lakh, you will be able to unlock your WHITE Pass value
• You will receive an SMS and e-mail link for claiming vouchers of the value credited
• On clicking the link, you will be directed to this page
• You will be requested to enter authentication parameters, i.e. your registered mobile number
• If all the entered details are correct and you are eligible for vouchers, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number
• Enter the correct OTP and also the last 4 digits of your card number. Post this you will have completed the validation process.
• You will now be allowed to explore various brand options and denominations available on the site
• You will have to select the desired brands, the required voucher denomination and confirm the request
• You will be shown a screen with your voucher code, validity, other details, and terms & conditions on successful confirmation. These details will also be shared with you via SMS and e-mail

Please note that the claim period for your White Pass is 1 year and 3 months. The claim period starts from the date your card is booked + additional 3 months. Also, every year on the card anniversary date, White Pass Value will reset to zero.

The reward structure of this card is a little difficult to understand. There are no direct reward points given on your purchases. You can only get them in the form of a White Pass. The rewards are capped at a maximum value of Rs. 27,000. Another problem with the structure is that the White Pass automatically expires every year on the card anniversary date.

Terms and conditions:

• Complimentary visits are available only for primary cardholders
• $27 per person per visit will be charged for the guest
• After completion of the complimentary visits, $27 will be applicable for the primary holder as well.
• While signing the visit voucher, do check if the number of guests has been entered accurately. In case there are no guests, strike off or mention NA.
• Please retain a copy of the visit voucher for 3 months.

As mentioned above, Kotak White Credit Card does not offer direct reward points but offers them in the form of a White Pass which might seem a little difficult to understand. Although a card of this fee range is expected to offer a better and much simpler reward structure. Other popular credit cards of this fee range like HDFC Regalia and  SBI Elite offer much better reward rates and structures. 

You should go for this card if:

1. You are ready to pay an annual fee of Rs. 3,000.
2. You are not looking for any category-specific discount.
3. You are okay with the reward structure of this card.
4. You are sure that you will be able to redeem your accumulated points (as the White Pass automatically expires every year on the card anniversary date).

How many airport lounge visits can I get in a quarter?
You can get 2 visits per quarter.

Will I earn reward points on my fuel purchases?
No, you will not earn reward points on your fuel expenses, but you will get a 1% fuel surcharge waiver on transactions that range between Rs. 500 and Rs. 3,000. Get a maximum fuel waiver of Rs.3,500 in every calendar year.
