Edelweiss Asset Management Limited (EAML) has introduced a new exchange-traded fund (ETF) named Edelweiss ETF – Nifty Quality 30. This ETF comprises 30 separate stocks from the Nifty Index, which were selected based upon quality scores provided by IISL (India Index Services & Products Limited). The ETF-Nifty Quality 30 is a unique open-ended fund, which would be managed by Kartik Soral and Bhavesh Jain with the NFO (new fund offer) scheduled to close on 20th May 2010. Subsequently, the fund would be listed on the stock market and re-open for subscriptions by 1st June 2016.
Edelweiss Asset Management Limited plans to use the EFT- Nifty Quality 30 fund to focus their investment efforts on companies that have a robust financial track record as demonstrated through various historic data. The key company data that would be considered to make the assessment would include past three years’ Y-o-Y growth of PAT (profit after tax) as well as various financial ratios like debt to equity and return on investment. The fund is expected to be an ideal fit for those who seek long-term appreciation on their investment by investing in top-rated Indian companies.
