How to Download Duplicate PAN Card – Online
Follow the steps mentioned below to download a duplicate PAN Card online:
Step 1: Visit the official portal of NSDL e-Gov i.e. https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/endUserRegisterContact.html
Step 2: From the ‘Application Type’ dropdown menu, select ‘Changes or Correction in existing PAN data/Reprint of PAN Card (No changes in Existing PAN Data)’
Step 3: Now select the ‘Category’ dropdown menu as applicable
Step 4- Enter your name, date of birth, email address, and mobile number
Step 5-Fill the Captcha and click on the ‘Submit’ button
Step 6- Click on the button given below the token number sent to the email ID provided by you for the request of a PAN card reprint
Step 7: A new page will appear on your screen to submit your PAN application. Out of the three options, choose the first one i.e. ‘Submit digitally through e-KYC & e-Sign (paperless)’ option
Step 8: You have to enter details such as your contact details, etc.
Step 9: Enter your Area Code, AO Type, and other details
Step 10: You don’t have to attach the documents along with the form as all the details will be taken from your Aadhaar Card automatically. Tick mark the declaration to proceed further
Step 11: In case there are any errors in the form, it will appear on the screen. If no changes, click on the ‘Proceed’ button
Step 12: You will be redirected to the payment section where you have to make payment through payment options like demand draft/net banking/debit/credit card
Step 13: After the payment is successfully done, an acknowledge form will be sent along with the 15-digit acknowledgment slip to track PAN card reprint status
Note: The digital submission of the form i.e. the paperless online application for updating PAN Card, the facility of e-KYC and e-Sign (i.e. Aadhaar based e-Signature) and Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) has been provided to enable PAN applicants to furnish the application for PAN online. (Please refer to step 6)
Once the Aadhaar authentication is successfully completed, a One Time Password (OTP) will be sent on your registered mobile number/email ID linked with Aadhaar Card to generate the Aadhaar-based e-Sign.
Moreover, as an alternate method, you can take a print out of the acknowledgement slip and send it to the NSDL e-gov (now Protean) office along with the physical proof of documents upon the successful payment. Also, affix a photograph in the space provided and sign across it. You must write ‘Application for Reprint of PAN’ on top of the envelope along with the acknowledgement number. Through NSDL e-Gov
There’s another way to download duplicate PAN Card i.e. reprint PAN Card facility through Aadhaar Card offered by NSDL e-Gov. Follow the below-mentioned steps to request for NSDL PAN Card reprint:
Step 1: Go to https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/ReprintEPan.html
Step 2: Enter your PAN Number
Step 3: Enter Aadhaar Number (Only for Individuals)
Step 4: Enter the Date of Birth in MM/YYYY format
Step 5: Enter the GSTIN Number (optional)
Step 6: Read the declaration carefully and tick the mark to proceed further
Step 7: Enter the Captcha Code for Verification purpose
Step 8: Click on the ‘Submit’ button
Step 9: A new page will appear on the screen with the details of your PAN Card
Step 10: Scroll down and select the options to receive OTP on Email ID, Mobile Number or both
Step 11: Click on Generate OTP
Step 12: Enter the OTP and click on the ‘Validate’ button
Step 13: Your request to reprint PAN Card will be submitted to the NSDL (now Protean) department

You can also reprint PAN Card through the reprint facility offered by the UTIITSL (now Protean) portal using Aadhaar Card and PAN Card. The steps for UTIITSL PAN card reprint are the same as that of the NSDL (now Protean) portal.
How to Apply for Duplicate PAN Card – Offline
To apply for a duplicate PAN Card through the offline method, follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: You can get the application form for ‘Request for New PAN Changes or Correction in PAN Data from Income Tax Department website i.e. www.incometaxindia.gov.in UTIITSL website – www.utiitsl.com or NSDL website https://nsdl.co.in/
Step 2: Fill in PAN application form in BLOCK LETTERS
Step 3: You need to mention your existing 10-digit PAN Number
- In the case of an individual category, you have to submit the two recent coloured photographs affixed in the space available on top of the form
- You have put your signature or left-hand thumb impression across the photo which is to be placed on the left-hand side of the form
- In case you are submitting your thumb impression, you should get it duly attested by any Magistrate or a public notary or any gazetted government officer under his official seal and stamp
