What is EPF Composite Claim Form
EPF Composite Claim Form (Aadhaar and Non-Aadhaar) is a composite or combined claim form that has replaced Claim Form No. 19 (UAN), 10C (UAN) and 31 (UAN) and Form No. 19, 10C, 31.
Why was EPF Composite Claim Form Introduced
EPF Composite Claim Form has been introduced with a view to simplify the submission of claim forms by subscribers.
- EPF Composite Claim Form (Aadhaar) is a combined form that has replaced Form No. 19 (UAN), 10C (UAN) and 31 (UAN).The new Composite Claim Form (Aadhaar) can be used by employees whose Aadhaar number and bank account details have been seeded with UAN and can be submitted at the respective jurisdictional EPFO office without the attestation of the employers.
- EPF Composite Claim Form (Non-Aadhaar) is a combined form that has replaced Form No. 19, 10C and 31. The new Composite Claim Form (Non-Aadhaar) can be submitted at the respective jurisdictional EPFO office with the attestation of the employers.
- Further, the new Composite Claim Form (both Aadhaar and Non-Aadhaar), in case of certain partial withdrawals, may be submitted at the EPFO offices only with self-certification and with minimal or no documentation.

Pre-requisites for Filling Composite Claim Form
Some important things that must be kept in mind when filling up the EPF Composite Claim Form are given below:
- The Composite Claim Form (Aadhaar) should be filled only when a member’s complete details in Form-11 (New), Aadhaar number and bank account details are available on the UAN portal and UAN has been activated. This form can be submitted directly to the concerned EPFO office without attestation of claim form by the employers.
- Purpose of advance and the documents required when filling up the Composite Claim Form include:
– Housing loan/purchase of site/house/flat or for construction/addition alteration in existing house/repayment of housing loan: No document is needed. New Declaration Form/Utilization Certificate required earlier has been discontinued.
– Illness of member/family: Certificate of doctor and a Certificate by the employer that ESIC facility is not available to the member may be submitted by the member.
– Marriage of self/son/daughter/brother/sister: No document/Marriage card is required.
– Post-matriculation education of children: No document is required.
– Lockout or closure of factory/Cut in the supply of electricity: No document is needed
– Natural calamity: No document needed
– Purchasing equipment by physically handicapped: Medical certificate is required
– One year before retirement: 90% of total PF balance can be withdrawn. No document is needed
– Investment in Varishtha Pension Bima Yojana: 90% of total PF balance can be transferred to LIC. No document is needed.
- No revenue stamp (Rs. 1) is required to be affixed by the member
- Before filling up the Composite Claim Form (Aadhaar and Non-Aadhaar), it is advisable to merge all PF accounts, since the total service in the present, as well as the previous establishment, is counted.
- Do note that pension withdrawal benefits can be availed only if the service is less than 10 years.

Types of Composite Claim Forms
Given below are the two types of EPF Composite Claim Forms:
EPF Composite Claim Form (Aadhaar)
EPF Composite Claim Form (Aadhaar) is a new combined form that has replaced the earlier Form No. 19 (UAN), 10C (UAN) and 31 (UAN). It can be filled by employees whose complete details in Form-11 (New), Aadhaar number and bank account details are available on UAN portal and UAN has been activated.
The Aadhaar-based new composite claim form can be submitted at the respective jurisdictional EPFO office without the employer’s attestation or with the employee’s own self-certification and without documentation for certain specific partial withdrawals.
EPF Composite Claim Form (Non-Aadhaar)
EPF Composite Claim Form (Non-Aadhaar) is a new combined form that has replaced the earlier Form No. 19, 10C and 31. It can be filled by employees whose Aadhaar number and bank account details are not available on UAN portal and UAN has not been activated.
This form can only be submitted at the respective jurisdictional EPFO office with the employer’s attestation. However, in certain cases, EPF Composite Claim Form (Aadhaar) can be submitted only with the employee’s own self-certification and without documentation for certain specific partial withdrawals.

How is Composite Claim Form Different from Existing Forms
Given below are a few important things that make the new EPF Composite Claim Form different from the Existing Forms (Form No. 19, 10C and 31):
- The new EPF Composite Claim Form is a combined form that has replaced multiple different forms and can be submitted directly at the respective jurisdictional EPFO office with/without the employer’s attestation.
- The Composite Claim Form allows employees to request for certain partial withdrawals as mentioned above only with self-certification and without documentation.
- No fees/charges have to be paid to submit the EPF Composite Claim Form (Aadhaar and Non-Aadhaar)
How to Fill Composite Claim Form (Aadhaar)
Here are a few key things to keep in mind when filling up the EPF Composite Claim Form (Aadhar):
- Before the employee fills out this form, his complete details in Form-11 (New), Aadhaar number and bank account details should be available on the UAN portal and UAN must be activated.
- Fill out the form completely including details such as your mobile number, reason for filling out the claim form – PF final settlement, pension withdrawal benefits or PF part withdrawal, name, Aadhaar number, date of joining the establishment, purpose of part withdrawal and amount (if applicable), complete postal address, etc.
- Enclose the relevant documents, such as two copies of Form No. 15G/15H (if applicable) and a cancelled cheque (with the member’s name, bank account number and IFS Code). Note that, for EPF claims filed online, uploading an image of cheque leaf or attested bank passbook is no longer a mandatory requirement.
How to Fill Composite Claim Form (Non-Aadhaar)
Given below are a few key things that you must consider when filling up the EPF Composite Claim Form (Non Aadhar):
- Fill out the form completely including details such as your mobile number, reason for filling out the claim form- PF final settlement, pension withdrawal benefits or PF part withdrawal, name, UAN or PF account number (if UAN is not available), Aadhaar number (for seeding), father’s name, husband’s name, date of birth, date of joining the establishment, date of leaving service (if applicable), PAN (if applicable), bank account details for payment, address, etc.
- Enclose the relevant documents, such as two copies of Form No. 15G/15H (if applicable) and a copy of cancelled cheque/attested copy of first page of passbook. As per a recent update, for online EPF claims, uploading an image of cheque leaf or attested bank passbook is no longer a mandatory requirement.
- EPF Composite Claim Form (Non-Aadhaar) needs to be attested by the employer before submission to the respective jurisdictional EPFO office or self-certification (for certain partial withdrawals)
How to Fill Composite Claim Form in Death Cases
Here are a few key things that must be considered when filling out the EPFO Composite Claim Form in case of unfortunate demise of the member employee:
- Fill out the form completely including details such as mobile number, name of deceased member, father’s name, spouse’s name, marital status of deceased member, UAN or PF account number, date of leaving service, period of non-contributory service (to be filled by employer), date of member’s death, claimant’s details for Provident Fund, pension and insurance (EDLI), bank account details for payment/pension, etc.
- The Composite Claim Form in Death Cases requires both the claimant’s as well as the employer’s signature
- The following enclosures/documents must be attached with the Composite Claim Form in death cases:
- Death certificate
- Joint photograph of all the claimants
- Date of birth certificate of children claiming pension
- Scheme certificate (if applicable)
- A copy of cancelled cheque or attested copy of first page of passbook (no longer mandatory)

There are no charges or fees for filling or submitting the new EPF Composite Claim Form.

- EPF Composite Claim Form can be tracked both online and offline.
- EPF Composite Claim Form status can be tracked online via the EPFO website, UAN member portal or UMANG app.

Taxation on Filling Composite Claim Form
- Income Tax (TDS) is deducted if the employee’s service period is less than 5 years (60 months)
- No Income Tax (TDS) is deducted if the total balance is less than Rs. 50,000.
- TDS is deducted at 10% if the member submits PAN when total balance is more than Rs. 50,000. In case PAN is not submitted, then TDS is deducted at 34.608%.

Q. Can I submit Composite Claim Form online?
Ans. Yes, you can submit the Composite Claim Form (Aadhar) online after logging into the EPF member portal. The online version will be pre-filled with basic information and you need to select the type of withdrawal that you wish to make. Your UAN should be active, the mobile number you used to activate UAN should be in use and your Aadhaar details should be seeded into the EPFO database.
Q. What is Form 31, 19 & 10C in PF?
Ans. Form- 19 is filled for claiming final PF settlement, Form 10C is for pension withdrawal and Form 31 is partial EPF withdrawal. However, the new EPF Composite Claim Form has replaced Form- 19, 10C and 19 and claims can be made both online and offline.
Q. How to apply Form 19 and 10C together?
Ans. You can now apply for PF final settlement (erstwhile Form-19) and pension withdrawal (erstwhile Form 10C) together through the new EPF Composite Claim Form by simply choosing the relevant options on a single form both online and offline.
