SBI Credit Card Reward Points

You can earn rewards just by using your card to make purchases at retail stores and online payments, and later redeem SBI credit card reward points against numerous options. These reward points can be exchanged for merchandise, gift vouchers, reversal of fees, etc. Though the reward points are usually not considered while applying for a card, yet the benefits they provide can help you save significantly while repaying the amount due and on making purchases.

E-Wallet loading transactions, cash withdrawal, balance transfer, disputed transactions, purchases at petrol pumps or service stations, Encash or Dial-a-draft facility, financial charges including, late payment charges, dishonored cheque charges, etc. are not eligible for SBI credit card reward points.

Note: In case you cancel or return a transaction and request a refund, the reward points earned on the transaction will be reversed. Same is the case with charge disputes.

  • Check the rewards points summary section on your latest credit card statement

How to Redeem SBI Credit Card Reward Points

You can redeem your SBI credit card reward points via both online and offline modes. To redeem the rewards points online, you can either use net banking or mobile banking. For offline redemption, you can contact the bank’s customer care.

SBI Credit Card Reward Points Redemption Online via Internet Banking:

Step 1- Login to the SBI Card portal using your customer ID and password.
Step 2- Go to the ‘Rewards’ section and click on ‘Redeem Rewards’.
Step 3- Filter the Reward Points, City and Category.
Step 4- Check the items on the ‘Rewards Catalogue’ and select one as per your choice.
Step 5- Click on ‘Redeem Now’ to confirm.

SBI Credit Card Reward Points Redemption Online via Mobile Banking:

Step 1- Login to SBI Card mobile app with your Customer ID and password.
Step 2- From the left side menu, select the ‘Rewards’ option and click on ‘Redeem Rewards’.
Step 3- Filter the Reward Points, City and Category.
Step 4- Check the items on the ‘Rewards Catalogue’ and select one as per your choice.
Step 5-  Click on ‘Redeem Now’ to confirm and proceed with your redemption process.

SBI Credit Card Rewards Redemption Offline:

You can redeem credit card reward points offline by calling on the SBI credit card customer care number. The customer care executive will help you with the redemption process. You can either pay for the item in points altogether or choose the ‘Points+Pay’ option where you can redeem your points and pay the additional amount from the credit card.

On some SBI Credit Cards, especially those with travel-centric benefits, you can convert the accumulated reward points into Air Miles and redeem the same for booking a flight ticket. The Air Mile conversion feature is available on the following SBI Cards:

  • Air India SBI Platinum Card
  • Air India SBI Signature Card

The rate of Air Mile conversion is 1 Reward Point = 1 Air India Mile. Note that these Air Miles can be redeemed only when booking flight tickets on Air India. Apart from this, there are other SBI credit cards launched in collaboration with Vistara Flights that offer Club Vistara Points as reward points. These cards are:
