Standard Chartered Rewards Credit Card offers the chance to earn up to 8 reward points on every Rs. 150 you spend on almost all retail categories. This rewards rate includes the 4 reward points earned on retail spends and the extra 4 bonus points which you can earn on monthly purchases made beyond the spending milestone of Rs. 20,000. These points can later be redeemed either against the rewards catalogue at the rate of 1 point = Rs. 0.25 or the credit card statement outstanding balance at the rate of 1 point = Rs. 0.20. This redemption value of the reward points is quite low due to which the value of the total savings on your spends also drops. Apart from the rewards program, the cardholders can also avail up to 4 lounge visits annually which is a decent benefit. This card comes at an annual fee of Rs. 1,000 which can be reversed on spending Rs. 3 lakh or more annually.
