By far the most popular way to get in touch with various authorities related to GST is over the phone. You can get help from various relevant government departments through the following list of GST helpline phone numbers:

GST Help via Email

GST Self Service Portal
In order to streamline the process of grievance redressal, a specialized GST Self Service Portal was set up in addition to the phone/email-based GST Helpline. This can be accessed from the Official Goods and Services Tax Portal home page. This GST grievance redressal and tracking portal can be accessed under the Services>User Services section available on the main page:

In case you want to submit a complaint/grievance, you are required to select one of the options displayed above. In case you selected the “Others” option, you get directed to the following page:
You can fill out the particulars of your grievance/complaint along with your personal details such as name, mobile number, email address, etc. here instead of calling the GST Helpline. You can also upload copies (PDF or JPEG format max ) of any supporting documents that are available. Once you fill out all the required fields on this form and submit it, you will receive a “Grievance Number”.
Once the grievance has been registered with the GST authority, you can track the status of the grievance using the “Grievance Number”. The grievance status enquiry page looks as follows:
GST Returns Help from GST Practitioner
In case you are having issues with key GST implementation areas such as GST filing and are unable to get the information online or using GST Helpline number, you can opt to engage the services of an authorized GST Practitioner. The actions that a GST Practitioner can perform on behalf of GST registered persons/businesses include:
- Providing details of inwards/outwards supplies
- Filing monthly/quarterly/annual/final return
- Making deposits into the electronic cash ledger
- Filing refund claims on the GST Portal
- Filing applications related to amending/cancelling GST registration

A list of GST practitioners operating in your area can be obtained by using the Locate GST Practitioner Tool available on the Official GST Portal. You can search the contact details of available GST practitioners using their Enrolment Number/GSTP (GST Practitioner) ID or Name/Area as shown below:
Do keep in mind that the Government has not specified any charges for any of the activities that a GST Practitioner is allowed to carry out on behalf of his/her clients. As a result they are free to charge as per their own estimates which may include different fees for different GST-related activities.
