In line with the Government of India KCC scheme Union Bank of India is offering the Union Bank of India Kisan Credit Card. The Kisan credit card can be availed by farmers who require a short term loan to meet their agricultural or household needs. More details of the credit card are given below.

Objective – Provide farmers with short term loan to meet their agricultural or household demands. The loan amount can also be used to maintain farm assets and other agricultural activities like dairy animals, inland fishery and so on.
Fee Benefits – No processing fee is charged for a loan up to 3 lakhs.
Credit Limit – The maximum loan amount offered is determined in the following manner:

| Subsequent Years | First year limit + 10% of the limit towards cost escalation/increase in scale of finance for every successive year and estimated term loan for the tenure of Kisan credit card. |
Note: In case revision of scale of finance for any year by the DLTC exceeds the notional hike of 10% then a revised limit may be fixed by the bank and the farmer will be advised about the same.
Maximum loan limit – The short term loan limit arrived for the 5th year in addition to the estimated long term loan requirement will be the Maximum Permissible Limit (MPL) and treated as the Kisan Credit Card Limit.

Individuals, Joint borrowers who are owner cultivators, Tenant Farmers, Oral Lessees & Share Croppers, Self Help Groups /Joint Liability Groups of Farmers including tenant farmers, sharecroppers etc. are eligible for KCC.

What is Flexi KCC?
Union Bank of India Kisan Credit Card offers a flexible limit of Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 50,000 to farmers who require a small loan amount. This facility is called Flexi KCC. The amount is given on the basis of landholding and crops grown. Costs related to post-harvest warehouse storage, farm expenses, consumption needs, etc. are also taken into account.
What is the repayment period?
The repayment period varies from case to case; however, the term loan component must be repaid within 5 years.
When will interest subvention be provided?
Interest subvention is provided when the cardholder makes timely payments only.
