Registration for Oxigen Wallet
The registration process for both types of Oxigen wallets is different from each other as each has different balance and transaction limits. Users can either download the application on their smartphones or create a virtual wallet online. It is a useful option for people who do not have smartphones. The process for registration for each wallet is as follows:
- Registration for Oxigen 20K Wallet: For the 20K wallet, users can either apply online or send an SMS mentioning “Oxigen*Agree*” to 9870888888 and a wallet would be automatically created for them. Users will immediately receive their wallet details such as user ID and password through SMS on their registered mobile number. Users can transfer money into their wallets by depositing cash at the Oxigen retail outlets or transferring money through net banking or Immediate Payment Service (IMPS). On first top-up of the wallet, a one-time convenience fee of Rs. 25 will be debited from the wallet. This wallet can also be used on Android, iOS, and Windows phones.
- Registration for Oxigen 100K Wallet: The registration process for this wallet is similar to the 20K wallet except for that it requires KYC documentation. Initially, the maximum limit for this wallet remains Rs. 20,000 but this is then increased automatically to Rs. 1 lakh as soon as the submitted documents are accepted. Users can use any of their documents including Adhaar Card, Driver’s License, Voter’s ID card, or Passport for address and ID proof. There are also some alternative documents which can be used separately for ID and address proof.
Loading Money in Oxigen Wallets
Loading money in Oxigen wallets is fast and easy and can be done through various mediums. You can do so through your debit and credit card, IMPS, net banking, or Cash over the Counter. However, there are certain limitations on loading money in these Oxigen wallets through IMPS and debit/credit cards.
- Loading Money through IMPS: The per transaction limit for IMPS will be determined by the maximum transaction limit of the partner bank. Most banks have a maximum transaction limit of Rs. 1 lakh which is perfectly fine with Oxigen wallet requirements.
- Loading Money through Debit/Credit Cards: Users can only transfer Rs. 4,000 per transaction through debit and credit cards. Additionally, the overall monthly limits for funds transfer through a particular debit or credit card is Rs. 20,000.
Pre-Paid Visa Card Facility
The wallet also offers you a virtual Visa card that you can use for your online purchases. You only need to download the Oxigen app and register with RBL Bank to get started. The card works just like a standard prepaid card, except for the fact that it is virtually present in your Oxigen Wallet. The card has a 16-digit number, a CVV number and an expiry date. Moreover, you have to use a Visa-verified 4-digit PIN that ensures the transactions remain secure. You can use the card for your own use or send to family or friends via email or messaging by clicking on the share button on the Oxigen app.
This facility is especially beneficial for online transactions where a card payment is the only option available or where you are getting better deals or discounts with a card payment. As with the wallet, this virtual card can be used for all types of transactions including food and drinks, entertainment, cab services, travel, electronics and many more.
