YES Bank has launched the Marquee Credit Card, tailored to align with the spending preferences of high-income individuals. Much like other premium cards, Marquee also offers benefits across multiple categories, with more focus on rewards and travel. The card features a generous sign-up bonus and offers excellent overall value for high-spenders, along with covering categories like utility bills, rent, insurance, etc., which are usually excluded. At a comparatively lower annual fee of Rs. 4,999, the card stands as a worthy competitor to premium credit cards like HDFC Diners Club Black and all-rounder cards like SBI Card ELITE.

YES Bank Marquee Credit Card is a noteworthy addition to the list of premium cards like HDFC Diners Club Black and ICICI Emeralde Private Metal, offering a competitive value back of up to 4.5%. Cardholders can start strong with 60,000 bonus reward points, which offsets the joining fee of Rs. 9,999. From second year onwards, the card charges half the fee of only Rs. 5,000 accompanied by renewal benefits worth the annual fee.
With a straightforward rewards structure and no spend-based capping, this card allows the users to earn good value-back on online and offline spends, including categories that are often excluded such as rent payments, insurance payments, and utility bills. However, it falls short in terms of reward redemption, offering a maximum value of 1 RP = Rs. 0.25 for redemption. Furthermore, it limits miles conversion solely to CV Points or InterMiles, lacking the diverse options offered by other premium cards, like Axis Magnus or HDFC DC Black for miles conversion.
The card’s unlimited international lounge access, complimentary guest visits, and a low forex markup fee, make it an appealing choice for frequent international travellers. Moreover, the annual benefit of free movie tickets worth Rs. 28,800 significantly add to the card’s value.
Overall, with its all-rounder benefits and an excellent reward rate, YES Marquee can be a good option for high-spenders, particularly those who prefer online shopping. While the card has a lot to offer to travellers, it does not provide enough ways to convert accumulated reward points into travel savings. Where Axis Magnus and HDFC DC Black have 15+ airlines and hotels in their miles transfer program, with YES Marquee, you only have the option to convert your points into Club Vistara Points or Intermiles. You can also use the points to book flights and hotels through the YES Rewardz Platform; however, the redemption value of Rs. 0.25 for each point is too low, especially for a premium card
