Yes Bank offers Recurring Deposit (RD) Interest Rates of 6.60% to 8.25% p.a. to senior citizens and 6.10% to 7.75% p.a. to other depositors. Depositors can open Yes Bank RD for a minimum amount of Rs 1,000 and thereafter in multiples of Rs 100, for tenures ranging between 6 months and 10 years. Yes Bank also offers a Flexigain Recurring Deposit scheme along with the regular recurring deposit scheme.

Types of Yes Bank Recurring Deposit Scheme

Yes Bank offers two types of RD schemes as mentioned below:

Flexigain Recurring Deposit

The Yes Bank Flexigain Recurring Deposit scheme offers the flexibility of depositing any amount based on the financial situation of the depositor within the tenure set by the bank. Unlike regular RD, there is no monthly commitment of instalments in Yes Bank Flexigain RD.

Interest

• Minimum interest earning period is one month
• Interest will be paid from the date of top-up amount paid
• Interest is compounded on quarterly basis

Features

• Minimum booking amount: Rs 1,000
• Maximum booking amount: Rs 5 lakh
• Minimum top-up amount: Rs 100
• Maximum top-up amount: 3 times of the initial booking amount
• Tenure: Minimum 6 months and thereafter in multiples of 3 months for maximum up to 10 years
• Anytime top-up option available on the same account
• Nomination facility: Available
• Premature withdrawal: Available with no penalty

Recurring Deposit

The Yes Bank Recurring Deposit (RD) scheme enables depositors to invest a fixed monthly amount for a specified period. This scheme is ideal for depositors having fixed incomes.

Features

• Minimum amount: Rs 1,000 and thereafter in multiples of Rs 100
• Maximum amount: Rs 1.99 crore
• Minimum tenure: 6 months
• Maximum tenure: In multiples of 3 months, up to 10 years
• Preclosure facility: Depositors can choose to close their RD prematurely. However, in this case, Yes Bank will pay the interest at the rate applicable on the date the depositor opened the RD and only for the period for which the deposit has remained with the bank. The bank will also charge a penalty of 1% for the premature withdrawal of RD.
• Missed instalment penalty: 1% on the pre-contracted interest rate for that month’s instalment. Depositors can pay their missed instalments on a later date by visiting the nearest branch of Yes Bank.
